The Finance Department is responsible for the financial activities of the Town of Orono as well as those of Orono’s Water Pollution Control Fund (WPCF). The Finance Department’s daily function is to manage these activities to assure all public resources are received, processed, disbursed, and accounted for in a prudent and compliant manner.
The Finance Department duties include:
Capital Asset record maintenance
Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
Annual Budget preparation
Annual audit preparation
Request and collect W9 Forms, Certificate of Insurance and/or Predetermination of Independent Contract Certification
