Park Street Corridor Study

The Park Street Transportation Study will assess and analyze the traffic system management improvements that could be made to the Park Street (Route 2) corridor, from the Orono - Old Town line up to, and including, the approaches of College Avenue.

The Town of Orono has assembled an Advisory Committee consisting of town staff, the MaineDOT, BACTS, and university, resident, and business-owner representatives.  The Town and Committee encourage the public’s input in this study to ensure the study’s recommendations for corridor improvements will address the needs of the community.

Public Meeting #2

The Town of Orono will hold the second public meeting for the Park Street Transportation Study on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 6 PM in the Town Council Chambers.  The purpose of the meeting is to present the Draft Transportation Improvement Plan in order to gain community feedback on the plan's recommendations.

Public Meeting #1

The Town of Orono held the first public meeting for the Park Street Transportation Study on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 6 PM in the Town Council Chambers.  The purpose of the meeting was to present existing transportation and land use conditions in the Park Street corridor and to gain community feedback on concerns and opportunities within the corridor.

University of Maine Public Meeting

The same materials that were presented at Public Meeting #1 were presented to students and staff at the University of Maine on January 30, 2018. University student and staff feedback on concerns and opportunities in the Park Street corridor is valuable as they make up a significant portion of users within the Park Street corridor.
