Start-Ups
The UpStart Center for Entreprenuership incubator, jointly developed by the University of Maine and the Bangor Target Area Development Corporation, is located in the Maine Tech Park. UMaine has its own Innovation Center for student enterprise. Downtown Orono is also a great place for start-ups, close to services, the University, and amenities.

Utilities
High Speed Internet is widely available, with the fastest data transfer rates in Maine. Cell phone coverage is available throughout the Town, with towers close by. Public water is supplied by the Orono-Veazie Water District, public sewer service by the Town's Sewer and Wastewater Department, natural gas by Bangor Natural Gas, and electrical service provided by Emera Maine.
