Landfill No Cubic-Yard Ticket Weekend

The landfill, located on Taylor Road off Forest Avenue, will be open to Orono residents who have purchased the annual access permit to dispose of acceptable material without paying the per cubic yard fees.
The “no ticket” weekend in 2023 will be November 3rd, 4th & 5th from 8am - 4pm each day.
Annual access permits must be purchased from the Town Office prior to using the landfill at a cost of $25 (residential) or $250 (commercial). New permits are valid through December 31, 2024 and come with two disposal tickets (with a total value of $50/residential or $100/commercial use).
Waste that may be dumped with a Resident Landfill Permit ("window sticker") on No Cubic-Yard Ticket Weekend:
tires (4 tires = 1 cubic yard), couches and other furniture (1 couch = 1 cubic yard), mattresses (1 mattress = 1 cubic yard), freon-containing white goods (1 refrigerator, freezer, dehumidifier, A/C unit, or other item = 1 cubic yard), construction and demolition debris (per cubic yard)
