The Orono Town Council seeks applications from residents interested in serving on the Regional School Unit 26 Board of Directors until immediately following the Municipal Election in March, 2021. The Interim Director will represent the citizens of the Town of Orono and play an important role in and policy making and financial oversight. Please consider volunteering to serve on this important Board. Your input will make a difference for our community.
If you are interested in the position, please submit a resume or a statement of your specific skills, as well as a letter explaining your interest in the position to the Town of Orono, 59 Main Street, Orono ME 04473 by 2:00pm, Friday, April 3, 2020.
The letter of interest should include information such as:
- Prior experience working with, or on, similar boards
- Familiarity with the governmental or school budgeting process
- Your vision for RSU 26
- The role you see yourself having as a member of the Board in relation to the Town Council, the other members of the Board, the Superintendent, and the community
- And, any other information you believe to be relevant to your interest in the position or to the decision-making process.
